Built in 1919, this home is from an era when craftsmen took a deep pride in their trade and it stills shines through almost 100 years later.

Home designers go to great lengths attempting to recreate the classic look of homes like this. Fortunately for you, the stories behind these walls aren't the work of fiction... and now you can add your tale to this enchanting residence.

Entry Level

When you enter the home, your eyes will be drawn to the natural oak flooring and the ornate details that come with a house like this - the woodwork, period-style light fixtures, right down to the push button light switches.

The foyer looks straight out of a movie, so warm and inviting. The oak floors continue into the living room, all the way to the hearth of the fireplace at the back. Lattice glass lead windows provide a wonderful view of the ferns and giant redwood as you rest on the bench seat at the front of the house.

See all 64 photos below!

While the radiator underneath is no longer operational, Mr. and Mrs. Seller opted to leave it in, keeping the unmistakable character of this unique home intact. (You may have noticed the one in the foyer as well!)

If you’re like me, you absolutely adore a picture window…and this breakfast nook does not disappoint. Two large, square picture windows let in abundant afternoon light while providing an unparalleled view of the playful landscape.

Enjoy the view through more picture windows as you wash dishes at your stylish farmhouse sink. And don’t be afraid to cook for a crowd with this 6-burner stove!

You’ll find a full bath, laundry room, mud room, and extra storage room (perfect for wine!) at the back of the house.

Upper Levels

The gorgeous oak woodwork continues upstairs in all three of the second-floor bedrooms. The owner’s suite is large and has its own fireplace so you can stay toasty on chilly nights.

The owner’s bath is one of my favorite parts of the house. The Corian counter and plate glass standing shower are just the beginning. The claw-foot tub rests in its own room, surrounded by French Quarter style doors. Talk about WOW factor!

The third level feels like you’ve walked into a storybook cottage. Between the pitched ceiling, the built-into-the-wall dresser drawers, full bath, and the cutest little doors you’ve ever seen (storage!!) this is the perfect bonus room. Get closer to nature while you soak your cares away in the claw foot bathtub by opening the casement windows. It just doesn’t get better than this.

Downstairs

When I said this home was built in 1919, I bet a lot of you immediately wondered about the basement - dun dun DUN! I get it... that's a natural reaction. But one look at this basement and you can tell that extensive work has been done here and that Mr. and Mrs. Seller get plenty of use out of it.

The floor plan allows you to have multiple useful areas. You’ll have room for a pool table, shuffleboard table, seating area, and wine storage. The old furnace room makes a great workshop, and has the added bonus of the original coal furnace!

Outdoors

An ample lawn enveloped by trees is your own private park - the perfect spot for picnics, volleyball games, croquet… the choices are virtually endless. The acreage doesn’t stop there though. There is irrigated land with an open barn so you can plant and grow with ease.

It’s a special experience, unwinding under the trees here. Nature has a grace that you can only understand in places like this. Listen to the birds, feel the sun on your face, and savor the natural beauty of 6455 Butler Circle.
