Why We ❤️️ It:
In East Sac, but close enough to Midtown to walk if you wanted. It’s a “Biker’s Paradise” on walkscore.com! Sycamore lined streets and good neighbors make us love this place even more.
Though it was built in 1937, it still sweeps us off our feet today. The vintage scalloped edges, crown molding, original flooring, deco-inspired fireplace, and archway, plus the built-in hutch in the dining room bring an abundance of character and whimsy.
Mr. Seller has maintained his House Charming well. Pair that with hardwood floors, the quaint size, and low maintenance yards and you’ve got an ideal home for anyone looking for easy living.
The FULL Story:
The first thing you’ll most likely notice as you step inside is the fireplace I mentioned earlier. Harkening back to that quintessential 30’s look, the decorative brick adds a bit of fun while the inset brick hearth brings clean lines and sophistication.

Light pours in from several windows in the living room, making it a wonderful place to put your feet up anytime.
Not to be outdone by the living room, the dining room has two large windows of its own, as well as the built-in hutch, keeping with that vintage look.
Step through to the kitchen - oh the things you can do in here! There is more storage than you realize at first glance and can be very versatile. Notice the scalloped edging over the sink and under the bright, white counters. They just don’t make houses like this anymore!
Off the kitchen you’ll find the laundry room. Stacked washer and dryer make excellent use of the space.
Through the dining room, you’ll find the hallway that leads to both bedrooms and the recently remodeled bathroom.
Multiple windows in each bedroom let in daylight, and you better believe that the hardwood floors, crown molding, and vintage baseboards continue throughout as well.
I’ve seen plenty of bathrooms in my years as a Realtor® and I’ve got to say this one is beautiful! From the gorgeous new countertop to the tile in the shower, Mr. Seller did a fabulous job. New lighting and faucet fixtures blend with the original style of the house but lend themselves to a more modern vibe.
The back yard could be an ideal spot for an intimate garden party. Plenty of room along the back of the house for a garden (Sacramento is the farm-to-fork capital of the nation, you know).
A unique feature of the garage is the extra door on the inside of the gate. Not something you often see. It’s a one-car garage with a little extra space! Feel free to have guests park in your driveway - there’s room!
